Christmas Printables {Freebies}

Thursday is Thanksgiving, and I honor the holiday by not decorating for Christmas until Friday.  I think Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to sit down and pinpoint all of the things we are thankful for.

BUT, I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! The feeling it gives me, the yummy food, the fun music, the feel-good-movies, the season of giving, the crafts, decorating the house & tree, the look of excitement on all of the kiddos faces.  I love it all!!

So....because I know lots of people have either started decorating for Christmas or are looking for christmas decorating ideas, I created some fun & FREE Christmas Printables.

All materials used to create these printables are from jessicasprague.com

I hope your Thanksgiving is relaxing & special.  Hop you eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie.  Have fun decorating!

XOXO,

Pinspired: Quotes For Our Family Photo Wall

In my previous post, I wrote about how I am adding quotes to our family picture wall.  Here are a few more quote prints I created within the last few days.  I was browsing through Pinterest for inspiration, and this is what I came up with:
Originally found, here, I love this quote

This was a bible verse that was read at our wedding. What a wonderful reminder to us of how we should approach our marriage.
Originally found, here. Simple way of describing our journey through life. LOVE.

Do any of you have any favorite quotes about family, love or dreams?  If you do, do you mind sharing them with me?  I am always looking for good quotes with lots of meaning and wonderful ring to them.
Happy Sunday, Friends.  Enjoy your time with you families.

If You Want To Feel Rich...Printable

We've got an almost three hour nap going on over here...YAY!!! While the Prince slept, besides doing the usual...picking up Preston's 1,965,032 toys, doing the dishes, folding a load of laundry, I got crafty on Photoshop and created a few printables.

A quote that has been heavily on my mind lately is this:
"If you want to feel rich, just count all of the things you have, that money can't buy."

We have had to make a lot of cut backs to our budget recently, leaving me feeling frustrated at times.  When I saw this quote (found here), it put everything into perspective.  I wanted to be reminded of this on a daily basis, so I whipped up a printable incorporating it.  It will be going up on our picture wall in our stairwell.  I am also posting it for you all to enjoy, as well.
Hopefully you can find a color you like :)

Hoping your nap-time was just as productive & enjoyable!

Fall Mantle

So, like I've said before, it feels nowhere near Fall but I have been itching to decorate.  I see all of the Fall decor out in the stores, and we are starting to plan for our Fall events at work, so I decided to do a little Fall decorating of my own.  Here are some pictures of our Fall Mantle:

Where to Buy?
Pumpkins, Wood Frame, Scrapbook Paper & mini clothes pins: Hobby Lobby (don't forget about their 40% off one item coupon. Good on each shopping trip!)
Vase, Vase Fillers & Fall Branches: Target
Bunch of Wheat: Home Goods

What do you think?

I also have been burning a Autumn Harvest Candle, that is making my house smell so yummy. I'm ready for the cooler temps & warm apple cider!!

DIY: Picture Frame Headboard

A few days ago, i wrote that I have been busy doing crafty things around the house.  This is one of the things I have been up to.
We ended up getting a new bed (a king! yay!!) because I kept waking up every morning with achy back and hips.  Our bed was a hand me down from Jake's Aunt, and neither Jake or I, had ever had a new bed before. So, we splurged and got a nice big king! We have been wanting a king sized bed for a while, and finally got one!

Since we had just spent a good amount of money our comfy nice new bed, I didn't want to spend anymore on a headboard or bed frame.  So, I did what I always do whenever I need some creative inspiration, and got on Pinterest, and found this idea.

It was really pretty simple.

*We got 6 large frames (from Target). 3 5x7's and 3 8x10's.
*Went through my pictures and decided which ones I wanted to display.
* Measured the length of the bed.
* Put a nail where I wanted the frames to hang, equidistant apart, according to my measurement.
* Nailed each nail, one by one, and hung each picture.
*I then stood back and admired our (my hubby did all of the hard labor, I just supervised ;)) hard work!
I love this project because it really makes our bedroom feel personal.  Another reason I like this type of headboard, is because as our family grows and changes, we can swap out the pictures, and it will never look out dated and always represent who we are at the present moment.

Happy Friday to all of you! Have a great weekend!

XOXO~Jamee

How To Decorate Your Mantel

I was on Pinterest a few weeks back and found this awesome guide on decorating your mantel. With the Holidays quickly approaching, I thought it was very appropriate to share with all of you. I love the holidays and enjoy being festive. I got inspired a few weeks back and went shopping for Fall. Once I had all of the decor, I went back to my pin board and pulled up the guide. This is what I came up with:

I tried to take advantage of the Fall Colors as much as possible. I apologize for the streaks on the mirror...guess I need to get my Windex out again! Thank goodness for Pinterest! Helped give me inspiration for my cozy fall mantel. It makes relaxing by the fire with a glass of wine that much more enjoyable :)
